Samantha is a marine science and technology communicator and educator with a passion for submersibles and squid. Studying political science at the University of Chicago, she spent her summers and years after graduation as a naturalist guide and informal educator at the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

A chance encounter with a submersible expedition team rekindled her childhood curiosity to explore the oceans, and currently she is a co-founder of Global Engineering & Exploration Counselors, offering immersive marine technology and exploration programs to young women around the world.

As Education and Outreach Coordinator for Blue Marble Exploration, she is excited to develop new ways to connect people with the outer reaches of our planet.
